Snaps! appSnaps!, (www.snapsapp.com) the mobile photo app that enables consumers to add virtual content to photos today announced the launch of the Snaps! Visualize Going Green Campaign, designed to empower anyone with an iOS or Android device to visualize a greener world wherever they live or work and then share their vision across their social networks.

The Snaps! app – available free for iOS and Android™ devices – can be downloaded at get.snapsapp.com and allows you to virtually embed a tree into a photo of your neighborhood, helping you and others envision a greener future.  Look for ‘discover’ and ‘featured’ campaigns to find the virtual content for #VisualizeGoingGreen.

Snaps! collaborated with Getty Images – one of the world’s leading providers of exclusive photographic content to create the campaign which enables users to “plant” trees in any photo they take with their phone and then share their green visions with their friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and over email too.  “The opportunity to partner with Getty Images is an exciting and natural one, given their leading position in providing digital media photography and our successful partnership in working with brands and organizations to deliver valuable user-generated content. This new way of publishing using mobile photos is one that is multi-platform, digital and interactive,” says Snaps! Founder and CEO Vivian Rosenthal.

Those who join in the Visualize Going Green Campaign on Snaps! and all the people with whom they share their creations, have the option to take action and turn their visions into reality by making a donation to the Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees initiative within Snaps! too.

“As a New York based company, we’re particularly committed to Earth Day and the ongoing ‘greening’ of the city,” offered Rosenthal.  “We are excited to work with Getty Images on our Visualize Going Green Campaign and hope that people create and share their vision of a greener planet.  You have the creative freedom to make your photos whimsical or practical (see examples attached).  The campaign engages people to think about a greener, healthier planet and then share their visions with their social networks to instigate change.  At Snaps! we are committed to using mobile technology as a force for good as well as for business.”

Snaps! is also partnering with momsandbrands.com, who connect moms to brands and worthy causes, for their Earth Day Twitter Party.  See http://bit.ly/16nGaBV for more information and RSVP to join in.
