About the Author
Dr. David J. Najarian earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Michigan, graduating with highest honors. After a year spent inventing and patenting an electronic device for silent awakening and another year working as a biochemist for Schering-Plough, Dr. Najarian went to medical school, earning his degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and finished a one year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He founded his own dermatology practice, Randolph Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Najarian currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. An active speaker on dermatological topics at local and international gatherings, he resides in Randolph, New Jersey with his wife, Lauren, and son, Alex.
