New wine line inspired by the classic pin-up style is making its way into Hooters and onto your lips

If you find yourself in a Florida or Texas Hooters this fall, you will find two new wines on their drinks menu. Calendar Girl Wines launched their first two wines, Bodacious Brunette, a luscious red and Buxom Blonde a voluptuous white, on Monday, October 15th.

Bodacious Brunette is a red blend that will tantalize the tongue with flavors of black cherry, rose petals, currant and dark chocolate, while the Buxom Blonde is a white blend with sweet notes of pineapple, mango, star fruit and pear. Calendar Girl Wines has created the perfect wines for Hooters patrons to pair with the wing house’s delicious new menu.

Created by the award-winning, Washington state-based Gordon Estates Winery, Calendar Girl Wines are perfectly priced for anyone to enjoy. The playful yet sophisticated wine label seems to be right at home in Hooters, with one of its founders, Lynne Austin, wearing the title of “Original Hooters Girl.”

From their welcoming environment, current beverage choices and exciting new menu that appeals to both men and women of all ages to Austin’s 30 years with the Hooters brand, the restaurant chain seemed the perfect fit to launch Calendar Girl Wines. The new wine label will also be offering the chance for one Hooters server to be on a 2013 Calendar Girl Wines bottle.

Austin gathered friends, former Hooters girl, Shannon Hannon Oliviero, and “The Amazing Race” show contestant, Tina Hunter Greene, over a few glasses of wine to make the idea of featuring beautiful, modern women of every age as classic pinups on bottles of wine a reality. The concept was simple: wines that look amazing, taste incredible and are affordable for everyone; the Calendar Girl Wines brand was born.

 “Who knew a casual conversation over a few glasses of wine between friends would create a company that has now become Calendar Girl Wines?”  says Hannon Oliviero.  “This all started simply with three women who wanted to celebrate classic beauty and encourage women of all ages to go after whatever they desire while indulging in something they love.  It just shows your dreams can become a reality with hard work.”
