Nina Kaplan stresses the motto of ‘it’s all about fun’ while still having strong core values in her novel, “Madison K: Live, Life, Fun…” (ISBN 1463749856). Kaplan incorporates serious themes into her lighthearted book to teach readers the importance of having fun and not losing yourself in the common pitfalls of growing up.
“Madison K” follows conservative college student Madison, a dyslexic writer with OCD and ADD, who is determined to succeed and learn from the mistakes she makes along the way. With her two best friends by her side, Madison finds a way to do the right thing, even if she has to do it alone.
Kaplan says “Madison K” shares a simple yet important message of having a strong belief system as a girl, despite how others may treat you because of it. She believes this message is needed in today’s society because of the accepted old-fashioned view. The author believes her novel will also unite mothers and daughters during a period where this special relationship is often strained.
“It’s a simple message really and one that I am sure many mothers and daughters will relate to,” Kaplan says. “Be good at what you do, work hard and if things go wrong just keep trying. Try to remember that life is a journey and to be true to your beliefs. Of course, it is important to remember it’s all about the fun.”
“Madison K: Live, Life, Fun…” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
