Tampa Bay and Company
This coming weekend, Tampa will welcome the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) for its International Respiratory Congress. The convention will be held at the Tampa Convention Center from Nov. 5-8, and will welcome 5,500 attendees, producing over 10,400 hotel room nights for an estimated delegate spending of $5.5 million.
AARC most recently visited Tampa Bay for the 48th International Respiratory Congress in 2002. The AARC has over 42,000 members worldwide and is the only professional society for respiratory therapists in hospitals and with home care companies, managers of respiratory and cardiopulmonary services, and educators who provide respiratory care training. The focus of the Convention Sales team of Tampa Bay & Company is to bring conventions and meetings to Tampa Bay to create positive economic impact for Hillsborough County.
