Continuing his impressive surge in the race for the Republican nomination, Oklahoma State Senate candidate David B. Hooten has ramped up his efforts ahead of next week’s primary election.
“We’re in the home stretch,” says Hooten. “We have to make sure we keep our foot on the gas and keep doing everything we can to win the nomination.”
Already gaining followers from his “everyman” approach to politics, Hooten is using his final week of campaigning to go door to door and personally convince voters that he’s the right choice for Oklahoma’s 40th district.
Hooten, a multi-GRAMMY and Emmy nominated musician, has also gotten a key endorsement from another conservative icon in the entertainment industry, Pat Boone.

Hooten is also canvassing the district with mail outs, prerecorded calls, campaign signs and radio ads.
“The most important thing we can do now is make sure voters know what we’re trying to accomplish,” said Hooten. “If we reign in our out-of-control spending and ineffective government, I truly believe we can make Oklahoma the best state in the country.”
Anti-abortion, pro-family and a strong believer of the 2nd Amendment, Hooten is an average citizen and successful businessman. As a “non-politician,” Hooten intends to use his professional experience and a common-sense approach to make Oklahoma great.
“I know that we can get our state back on the right track,” says Hooten. “All it’s going to take is good people with good ideas backed by strong conservative principles.”
