telemundoTelemundo Media, a leading producer of Spanish-language primetime content for audiences in the U.S. and around the world, announced a digital licensing deal with DramaFever, the online video service that curates premium television shows and movies from 70 major broadcasters and studios throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Starting this month, DramaFever will begin streaming nearly 1,000 hours of library content from Telemundo Media’s original programming across DramaFever’s website and mobile/web apps and to an audience of over 10 million monthly unique viewers. The first titles to be made available for on-demand streaming will include hit shows such as “Una Maid en Manhattan,” “Alguien Te Mira,” “Donde esta Elisa (USA version),” and “La Casa de al Lado.”

“This collaboration with DramaFever is another step towards super-serving our audiences to deliver Telemundo Media’s high quality original Spanish-language programming whenever they want, on the screen of their choice,” said Peter Blacker, Executive Vice President, Digital & Emerging Businesses, Telemundo Media.

“Telemundo Media is an ideal partner for DramaFever given its reputation as the #1 producer of Spanish-language content in the US,” said DramaFever co-founder and co-CEO Suk Park. “As we continue to expand our Spanish and Portuguese language content library from Latin America and Spain, this deal with Telemundo Media further cements our footing as the one of best destinations for global programming online.”

DramaFever, which was established in 2009 primarily to give Asian content a fully-licensed distribution home in the United States, began expanding its library earlier this year to include European and Latin American premium programming. The company currently streams over 14,000 episodes.
