The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2015 International Photography Competition exhibition in conjunction with First Fridays at the museum on June 5, 2015, 6 – 8 p.m.

The winning photographs were selected by James Michael Lennon (University of Tampa), Laine Wyatt (UCF School of Visual Arts), and Samantha Burns (FMoPA Exhibitions Manager) and were judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, and artistic merit. The seven competition categories include People/Portraits, Places/Landscape, Nature/Science/Animals, Documentation/Photojournalism, Still Life, Abstract Photography, and Conceptual Photography. The show will run through July 31, 2015.

“We are thrilled to provide a space for photographers from such a wide array of backgrounds to share their work with the members of the Tampa Bay community,” says Zora Carrier, FMoPA’s Executive Director.

Admission: Free for members, $10 for not-yet members.
