DatalogicsDatalogics, the premier source for Adobe PDF and eBook technologies, today announced a significant update to the Adobe PDF Java Toolkit, core technology from Adobe Systems that powers much of its server-based PDF functionality. Available to developers exclusively through Datalogics, the latest version includes enhanced Javascript functionality in Acrobat forms, the ability to render a PDF to image, improved PDF creation and manipulation capabilities, a simplified integration process, and updated documentation including new sample files.

The latest release of the PDF Java Toolkit will further enable developers to build applications that automate PDF and business workflows.

“Users of Version 2.0 of the PDF Java Toolkit will be pleasantly surprised with the upgrades,” said Joel Geraci, Datalogics PDF Developer Evangelist. “With this latest release, developers receive a single .jar file making it easier to integrate, new sample files, additional documentation and some serious improvements to the classes.”

The PDF Java Toolkit is a Java API developed and refined for years at Adobe Systems and is now available to application developers and systems integrators exclusively through Datalogics. Developers can use the PDF Java Toolkit to build their own applications to offer a wide variety of services, such as working with all three types of PDF forms (AcroForm, Dynamic XFA, and Static XFA), creating and editing PDF documents, and managing digital signatures on PDF documents.

The PDF Java Toolkit is available for evaluation and licensing now. For more details, visit: http://www.datalogics.com/products/pdfjavatoolkit/.
