Legal Hackathon Miami (“LHM”), an event designed to enhance technology in the legal profession, is pleased to announce the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s contribution of a $5,000 prize to the event. The full amount of the prize will be awarded to the team that develops the best legal application, as determined by a distinguished panel of judges.
“Knight Foundation’s support of the Hackathon truly demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to building the entrepreneurial community in South Florida,” said Kubs Lalchandani, co-founder of Lalchandani Simon PL, one of the organizing sponsors of the event. “It also reinforces that the South Florida tech sector is no longer a hodgepodge of technology enthusiasts, but rather a comprehensive general presence that can focus its innovative efforts to support specific industry sectors.”
