"White Men Make the Best Lovers" by Flora Pickett-Coley

In “White Men Make the Best Lovers: Volume One” (ISBN 1468058444), Flora Pickett-Coley stresses the importance of not limiting yourself when it comes to love by dating outside your normal standards. Through her characters, she illustrates her personal experiences with interracial dating and relationships.

Danielle is a Harvard Law graduate who has been saving herself for her high school sweetheart, Carl.  However, Carl makes her feel like she isn’t good enough for him and constantly lies to her and cheats on her. Danielle and her white boss, Max, soon realize that stereotypes, especially when it comes to love and sex, aren’t always right.

Throughout the tears involved with writing this novel, Pickett-Coley also created a trend in not staying inside a certain dating box that she hopes all of her readers will take to heart.

“My book has started a trend called ‘going white boy shopping’ and taking your girlfriend along as a wing man,” Pickett-Coley says. “Listening to women of all races talk about how they have thought of dating outside of their races shows that there is a current trend in inter-racial relationships that should be explored.”

Pickett-Coley’s novel is based on experiences from the dating lives of her friends and herself.  She believes when women have been hurt and are feeling lost and confused in love, they will either walk away from a relationship, or stay and find solace in the arms of another, which can open new doors for their lives.

“White Men Make the Best Lovers: Volume One” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
