Tampa Bay & Company will welcome the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) as it brings its LandWarNet conference to downtown Tampa this week.  The conference will be held from Aug. 23-25 and will take place at the Tampa Convention Center.

Tampa last hosted the AFCEA LandWarNet in 2010.  Approximately 10,000 delegates are expected to attend this year’s annual conference, producing over 8,600 hotel room nights for an estimated delegate spending of $3 million.

With more than 31,000 members, AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence and global security.

AFCEA supports local chapters, sponsors events, publishes the award-winning SIGNAL Magazine, promotes education and provides member benefits – all with the purpose of equipping its members to meet government’s challenges and to further their careers.  To learn more, log on to www.AFCEA.org.
