Orr has been a registered nurse for 16 years with an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially neuroscience, patient safety, critical care, and strokes. Stephanie is currently working in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Stephanie D. Orr graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2000 from Rush University College of Nursing. An advocate for continuing education, Stephanie recently obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree with an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration from Rush University in 2016. Stephanie also holds additional certification as a Certified Critical Care Nurse.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Stephanie maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau, and was recognized by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She attributes her great success to her focus, as well as her dedication to patient safety, and when she is not assisting patients, Stephanie enjoys writing.
