Esteemed Nurse Margaret N. Muchire, RN, will be Honorably Mentioned in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

Margaret is a registered nurse with 23 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing, medical-surgical nursing, telemetry nursing, stroke care, occupational nursing, travel nursing, and immigration health. Margaret is currently serving patients at Holy Spirit – A Geisinger Affiliate in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Prior to her current endeavors, Margaret worked as a Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse with the Ministry of Health in Kenya; in urban area hospital, and rural areas schools, dispensary, and Health Center.

Margaret received her certificate in nursing in 1993 at Kenya Medical Training College in Nyeri, Kenya, her native country. In 2011, Margaret received her Associate degree in Nursing with high honors from Harrisburg Area Community College. An advocate for continuing education, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with honors at Pennsylvania State University College of Nursing in 2014. In addition, Margaret has many certifications including Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program by the American Heart Association, and Occupational Hearing Conservation by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.

During her collegiate career, Margaret received inclusion into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition to English, Margaret speaks several languages, including Swahili and Kikuyu. Over the years Margaret has been an active volunteer, having participated in a 2015 mission trip to Jamaica with Missionaries of the Poor in Jamaica, working as Program Facilitator with Mji wa Furaha – National Catholic Youth Center from 2000 to 2002, and providing nursing care and medical supplies through Medical Outreach Clinic – Holy Spirit Hospital in 2007.
