With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Shauna Rae Burdick, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a registered nurse with 22 years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially critical care and emergency room nursing. Shauna is currently serving patients as a charge nurse at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, California where she is responsible for her conversion.
Shauna obtained her nursing degree at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California in 2002 and is now currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Master of Science Degree in Nursing at Walden University and is expected to complete the program in 2016 and respectively, 2017. Shauna holds additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and as Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor. She also currently holds a practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse for the country of New Zealand.
Shauna remains at the forefront of a challenging industry through her memberships with the American Nurses Association and the Emergency Nurses Association. She attributes her success to being the first person in her family to graduate from college and wanting to inspire everyone else in her family by showing them that if she can do it, so can they. Shauna dedicates her spare time to gardening.
