The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) invites members and guests to help shape the museum’s future by voting for one of three Jerry Uelsmann photographs to be added to our permanent collection. The event takes place on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6p.m. – 8p.m.
“Acquiring a Jerry Uelsmann piece for our permanent collection is something we can all be proud of and appreciate,” says FMoPA’s Executive Director Zora Carrier. “We eagerly anticipate learning which image gets the most votes on August 25th.”
The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is one of fewer than ten museums in the United States dedicated exclusively to photography and one of two such museums in the state of Florida. FMoPA seeks to enrich the lives of the citizens of the Tampa Bay area by providing rare, specialized access to the wonders of photography not only as an aesthetic form but also as a multi-faceted historical and contemporary document of our world through exhibitions, education, outreach programs, and local collaborations.
Admission is free for members and students. Admission for not-yet members: $25.00 including the chance to vote.
