Respected Psychotherapist, Johannah J. Hibbs, LCSW will be Noted in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

Hibbs is an established Psychotherapist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients in the New York City area. Featuring over a decade of experience in her field, she has special expertise in complex trauma- including domestic violence and veteran trauma, personality disorders, severe mood disorders, chronic suicidality, self-harm behaviors, and treating patients with high rates of psychiatric hospitalization. She also specializes in clinical documentation and policy governing clinical practice as well as national accreditation processes for community based behavioral health clinics.

Johannah graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2008 from Siena College. An advocate for pursuing further education, she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2009 from New York University. Johannah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and is specially trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. To keep current with the new developments and guidelines in her field, she remains a distinguished member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work.

Johannah is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most positive outcomes. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents and adults to help navigate the challenges associated with complex trauma, self-identity, and cultivating confidence in order to help her patients achieve full lives. Moreover, Johannah conducts training on suicide risk assessment, competent social work practice, and clinical documentation. She creates and implements outcome measurement tools for individual practice and program development. Johannah attributes her success to her strong support network both personally and professionally, and in her free time she enjoys being with family, exploring NYC, and hosting game nights.
