Lucy Sweeney, PsyD, a Clinical Psychologist with her own practice, has been named a 2018 Top Doctor in Gallatin, Tennessee. Dr. Sweeney has worked in the mental health field in medical and psychiatric settings, and began private practice in 1990. She graduated with her Doctor of Psychology Degree in 1990 from Rutgers University in New Jersey, having earlier gained a Master of Science Degree in Developmental Psychology from New York’s Columbia University. Dr. Sweeney then completed the three year training program at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York.
Dr. Sweeney uses psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and systems therapy to work with individuals, couples, and families. Her approach is patient- centered, collaborative, and tailored to each patient. Her expertise and dedication have gained respect and referrals from across the state.
