Dr. Nichelle C. Renk attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, where she gained her Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2006. An internship followed at the Mercy Medical Center, before Dr. Renk completed a residency at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Thereafter, Dr. Renk completed a fellowship at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Renk is renowned across Alaska and beyond for her expertise in pain management, and she is also an experienced anesthesiologist. She is particularly noted as an expert in interventional pain medicine, treating cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine pain, and for her use of the latest cutting edge technology, including cooled radiofrequency surgery, and epidural platelet rich plasma injections. She is dual board certified in both Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine, and prior to her medical career served with distinction in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Major. In her free time, Dr. Renk enjoys hiking, traveling and spending quality time with her family.
