She is a highly trained and qualified ophthalmologist with expertise in all facets of her work, especially cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Bovelle has been in practice for over 14 years and is currently serving patients at Envision Eye and Laser Center in Glenn Dale, Maryland. Furthermore, she donates her time to children in need, both locally and internationally, through her participation in health fairs and medical mission trips. In addition, Dr. Bovelle has done clinical research on the latest devices used in modern refractive surgery to keep her practice current and at a state of excellence.
Dr. Bovelle attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she earned with her Medical degree in 1992. She completed her internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, followed by her residency at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Bovelle then pursued her Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship training at Louisiana State University Eye Center. Dr. Bovelle is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and keeps up to date in the field of ophthalmology through her professional memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. A Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Bovelle attributes her success to enjoying her work, and her passion for caring for her patients. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling and listening to jazz, as well as going on international medical missions.
