Shriwise, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified orthopedic surgeon with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, including arthroscopic surgery for cartilage defects and sports medicine injuries, partial knee replacement and rotator cuff repair, arthritic conditions and other general musculoskeletal problems, and sports medicine. Dr. Shriwise has been practicing for over twenty-eight years and is currently serving patients at Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in Leawood, Kansas. Furthermore, he is affiliated with Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas, Kansas City Orthopedic Institute in Leawood, Kansas, and Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Dr. Shriwise attended the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and received his doctor degree of medicine in 1981. He then went to the University of Kansas, Wichita/St.Francis for his internship and the University of Missouri-Kansas City for his orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. Shriwise is fellowship trained at the University of Toronto, Orthopaedic & Arthritic Hospital, where he specialized in arthroscopic and reconstructive sports medicine. He also received board certification in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In order to remain at the forefront of a challenging specialty, he is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine. Dr. Shriwise volunteers as Director of Athletics at Benedictine College and credits his success to maintaining relationships with his patients, listening and taking his time. He and his family enjoy volunteering to provide medical care to the underserved, most recently in Honduras, in 2012.
