Dr. Laub completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oregon, and went on to complete her Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology in 1991 from the University of British Columbia. She is a diplomate with the American College of Forensic Examiners, and American Board of Psychological Specialities with a specialty in Trauma and PTSD. She maintains a professional membership with the American Psychological Association and the Colorado Psychological Association.
Dr. Laub attributes her success to a desire to reduce or alleviate human suffering and a compassionate heart. She is the co-author of the books Becoming an Agent: Patterns and Dynamics for Shaping Your Life and Going the Distance: 7 Steps to Personal Change, as well as the owner and operator of a nonprofit organization called Lion’s Gate Sanctuary which provides a permanent home to displaced wildlife and exotic animals that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned.
