Selig Multimedia, Inc. names Shannon Hannon-Oliviero new exec. director of sales and marketing

(PRNewsChannel) / September 20, 2010 / TAMPA, Fla. / Selig Multimedia, Inc., which owns and operates the nationally known PR firm The Publicity Agency (www.thepublicityagency.com) and the press release distribution company PR NewsChannel (prnewschannel.com), today named Shannon Hannon-Oliviero to the new position of executive director of sales and marketing.

Hannon-Oliviero has been director of community relations at the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa for the last eight years.

"The timing was right for change and this opportunity brings a new dynamic to my life and that of my family," says Hannon-Oliviero.  "I will remain to my core the same person, the one always concerned with how I can help others but this new opportunity opens the door for so much more."

As the executive director of sales and marketing at Selig Multimedia, Inc., Hannon-Oliviero will oversee new business development, marketing and promotion corporate-wide.

At the Children's Cancer Center, Hannon-Oliviero fostered close relationships with the business community which helped her raise record amounts of money to provide non-medical assistance to children with cancer and their families.

Hannon-Oliviero first met Selig a couple of years ago when the Children's Cancer Center agreed to be the charity recipient for money raised by Rod Blagojevich, the former governor of Illinois and a TPA client, when he was chosen to appear on the NBC reality show 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'  Even though his wife Patti ended up on the show, the charity remained unchanged.  

The Children's Cancer Center was again the recipient when Blagojevich competed on Donald Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice' earlier this year.  Hannon-Oliviero went to New York for the finale of the hit NBC program.

Hannon-Oliviero begins her new position with Selig Multimedia next month.
