Orlando Family Doctor to Model, Raise Money for Cancer Victims

(PRNewsChannel) / March 26, 2010 / Orlando, Fla. / Orlando family doctor Stephanie Haridopolos will soon trade her scrubs for an evening gown.

Next month, the wife of incoming Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos will model a gown to benefit Lauren’s Light, a non-profit organization that helps children whose parent or parents have been diagnosed with cancer.

Haridopolos will join a select group of women to model evening gowns for the benefit, which will be featured in "Florida Ladies We Love," an editorial scheduled to appear in the July issue of GLADYS, a quarterly-published national magazine.

Those behind Lauren's Light started the organization in 2002 in honor of Lauren Millin, whose pregnancy resulted in an emergency C-section which exposed the spread of her cancer. Lauren's family discovered the lack of resources for cancer patients with young children, and launched Lauren's Light following Lauren's passing. 

GLADYS Magazine will host its Lauren's Light EXTRAVAGANZA fundraiser at Trinity Cathedral, 464 NE 16th St., Miami, Sat., April 24 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
