Tampa, Fla. / "Downtown Tampa now has a dermatologist," says Dr. Seth Forman. The Tampa dermatologist opened a second office location in the city - this time on Franklin Street. It is the first dermatologist office to open in the downtown Tampa area. Dr. Forman says the goal is to help those with busy work days have access to appointments that fit their schedule.
"Our philosophy is to make your appointment fit your schedule, not the other way around," says the Tampa dermatologist. "A doctor's appointment should not cost a person any paid time off or billable hours or force them to miss a business meeting. Now, it doesn't have to."
Dr. Forman’s new downtown office is part of the Florida Wellness and Rehab office, which offers chiropractic, physical therapy and acupuncture services. The Tampa dermatologist will see patients from 7:00am through lunch time using an expedited visit process.
"Consider it express service for the executive in all of us," says Dr. Forman. "There will be an express check-in and check-out. Patients can get in, out and return to work quickly."
Dr. Forman will continue to see patients at his main Carrollwood dermatology office, which has been open since 2007. He also volunteers his time, making house calls to assisted living facilities throughout the Tampa area. He makes a point to be flexible for any situation so that his patients get the best care no matter where they are or what their schedule might be like.
Even with the new downtown Tampa dermatology office, Dr. Forman says his biggest message to his patients will continue to be 'protect your skin from the sun's damaging rays.' Dr. Forman maintains that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer and its just one of the reasons he sent a letter to Florida Governor Charlie Crist late last year urging for a law to prevent minors from using tanning beds.
Dr. Forman is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Dermapathology, which means he has special training studying and diagnosing skin diseases at the microscopic level. He has researched and written several articles on dermatological issues, including skin cancer and eczema. He's also the author of two chapters in the leading reference medical textbook, Comprehensive Dermatological Drug Therapy.
