Week-To-Week, "Today's" Total Viewer Lead Has Grown Over GMA.

(PRNewsChannel) / New York, NY - NBC News' "Today" continues its ratings surge with another million-plus win over the competition. For the week ending June 15, "Today" was No. 1 with more than 5.2 million total viewers – a 1.2 million (28 percent) lead over GMA, and a 2.7 million (106 percent) lead over "The Early Show." This week's win marks "Today's" 653rd consecutive week in first place.
Week-to-week, "Today's" total viewer lead over GMA improved by +2%. Season-to-date, "Today" has added 47,000 total viewers to its audience and has grown 5% in rating W18-49 versus the comparable period last season. "Today" has now extended its season-to-date advantage over GMA to 959,000 total viewers, its largest gap this season. Season-to-date, "Today" has increased its advantages over GMA in homes (from 16% up to 22%), total viewers (from 15% up to 20%), A18-49 (from 29% up to 34%) and A25-54 (from 26% up to 30%). "Today" advantages were also up in rating W18-49 (from 16% up to 28%), rating M18-49 (from 50% up to 57%) and rating M25-54 (from 45% up to 50%).
For the week, "Today" led with a 4 household rating/15 share and more than 5.2 million viewers. "GMA" trailed by large margins with a 3.2/12 and 4 million viewers. CBS' "The Early Show" remained far behind in third place, with a 2.0/7 and less than 2.5 million viewers.
In rating A25-54, "Today" led GMA by 36 percent 5 tenths) and beat the "Early Show" by a staggering 111 percent (1 ratings point). In rating A18-49, "Today" outperformed GMA by 27 percent (3 tenths) and Early Show by 100 percent (7 tenths).
"Today II" posting a 2.3/9 in homes and 3 million viewers. It continues to top "CBS Early Show" in total viewers, homes and key demos. "Today II" outperformed "The View" in rating M18-49 (33%) and rating M25-54 (50%). Week-to-week, "Today II" improved in total viewers (2%), rating W/M/A18-49 (10%/33%/14%), and rating M/A25-54 (20%/13%).
**Please note "Today III" had lower coverage on both Thursday and Friday due to the US Open golf tournament. Week-to-week, "Today III" posted huge increases in M/A18-49 (50%/25%) and also improved 6% in A25-54. For the week, "Today II" delivered a 1.3/5 in homes and more than 1.5 million viewers.
