Jessi Howell Cosmetics to Donate 100-percent of Proceeds of the P.U.D. Range of Cosmetics to Childhelp
Childhelp.org - April 22, 2008
(PRNewsChannel) / Scottsdale, Ariz. - Paula Jessi Howell, Director of Jessie Howell Cosmetics (JHC), has been a supporter of Childhelp® since she first called the Childhelp® hotline seeking comfort back in 1992. Childhelp® helped her then, and now she is giving back.
The P.U.D. 'Proud Unique Determined' girl is the face of Jessi Howell's newest addition to its cosmetic range. Two new products are featured in the promotion- "Plumping gloss" and "Pure Lip" lipstick line and one hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of this line are being donated to Childhelp, a national non profit organization that helps children and families affected by abuse and neglect.
The JHC success story, which started in 2002 with the idea of empowering survivors of child abuse, has now blossomed into a partnership with Childhelp® to help raise funds and awareness of this worldwide epidemic.
“That day, in 1992, changed my life forever; the woman on the Childhelp® hotline empowered me with her words, she gave me insight to realize what was happening, what was wrong, and the strength to feel courageous,” said Paula Jessi Howell. "I did not want to be 'just' a statistic; I wanted to be part of the solution. The P.U.D. girl is a symbol of my child self. Pud was my nick name. But now, I see Pud as representing my state of empowerment, a state all sufferers of abuse need to recapture so they can grow up feeling proud, unique, and determined. I know working with Childhelp will go a long way to getting the job done because they offer a voice to those who have none."
Sarah Rodriguez, Childhelp's Vice President of Corporate Relations said, "Childhelp is very grateful to Jessi for her generosity and for sharing her story."
