Judge Expected to Order Guns Returned to Drew Peterson's Son
Stripped of his gun permits by state police, Drew Peterson himself cannot legally take ownership.

(PRNewsChannel) / Chicago, Illinois - A judge is expected tomorrow to order about a dozen guns confiscated from Drew Peterson be handed over to his oldest son, according to Joel A. Brodsky, Peterson's criminal defense attorney.
Last month, an Illinois judge ordered prosecutors to return the guns and other items to Peterson himself, but before the guns could be returned state police revoked Peterson's gun permit.
"Investigators have had enough time to analyze the evidence taken from Peterson's home in November," says Brodsky.
Peterson says he would like to possess the guns himself.
"Police have had my guns long enough," says Drew Peterson, the former Bolingbrook, Ill. police sergeant who's accused in the Oct. 28, 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. "Better in my son's possession than with prosecutors."
Since a judge's order last month, prosecutors have returned to Peterson home computers, an SUV and other property--but not the guns.
Peterson has not been named a suspect, but authorities are reinvestigating the death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio, which was ruled a homicide.
Peterson has not been charged with any crime and denies involvement in either case.
