(PRNewsChannel) / Las Vegas, Nev. - From NBC's Poker After Dark Web site - "A jam up - it's what happens when you get six of the world's best poker players gathered around the same table. Howard Lederer, owner of two WSOP bracelets and two WPT titles, is known as a tight, solid player. Will he thrive or wilt under the pressure of this aggressive table? Mike Matusow knows how to talk a good game, but will the cards finally follow suit as Mike attempts to take down his first Poker After Dark title after numerous tries. David Williams, runner up at the 2004 Main Event, plays a fearless, aggressive brand of poker. Will a switch in style help this young gun take home the first-place prize money?"
Apparently so. Williams' seemingly effortless style brings home the $140,000 prize. Though typically the prize is $120,000, due to special circumstances, the pot was sweetened to $140,000. More luck for golden boy, David Williams. Players in this 'Jam Up' included: Howard Lederer, Mike Matusow, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiari, Eli Elezra, and the victorious David Williams.
When asked about his win, the low-key poker champion simply states, "Second place is nice, but winning is better...this is what I do."
And he does it quite well. David can also be seen on BET's weekly series entitled "The First Annual Black Poker Stars Invitational" where he is the resident expert and head of the poker clinic.
David is available for interview opportunities in TV, radio and print outlets.
