(PRNewsChannel) / Indianapolis, Indiana – From the heart of Indianapolis, a group of golf enthusiasts has launched The Warrior Custom Golf Amateur Tour, the largest amateur golf tournament of its kind in the U.S.
“This is big and it's going to bring great recognition to our city," says Kirk Makl, founder of The Super International Amateur Golf Association (SIAGA), which is putting on the tour and based in Indianapolis.
The Warrior Custom Golf Amateur Tour is the first of its kind competition for amateurs. Golfers throughout North America (and eventually worldwide) will compete for prestige and prizes in SIAGA tournaments to be held at local, area, regional, national and international levels.
“This is a chance for all amateur golfers to feel the same exhilaration and excitement as the pros regardless of their handicap,” says Makl. “This brings recreational golf to a whole new level.”
Membership is $185, and that includes all competition green fees, cart fees and banquets. And then there are those giveaways: New SIAGA members receive a Warrior custom-built 385cc Titanium “driver” valued at $399. And all visitors to www.SIAGA.org receive a Warrior custom-built mallet putter, valued at $150, just for checking out the Web site and learning about SIAGA.
“Weekend warriors are in for a thrill of a lifetime when they compete as part of The Warrior Custom Golf Amateur Tour and players get free clubs just for being a part of it,” Makl says.
The choice for tournament cities and golf course locations are being driven by participants. The tournaments will be brought to players, rather than the other way around.
“We want to make this as fun and convenient as possible,” says Kirk Makl, founder of SIAGA. “So where holding the tournaments in the cities where there are the most players.”
SIAGA members are responsible for their own travel expenses when playing at the local, area and regional SIAGA tournaments. SIAGA will issue a $300.00 travel voucher to each of the top SIAGA players in each category who advance to the National and International SIAGA Tournaments.
The Warrior Custom Golf Amateur Tour for men and women begins in April. To sign up, or to claim the FREE Warrior custom-built mallet putter (valued at $150) visit www.SIAGA.org.
