(PRNewsChannel) / Nashville, Tenn. - In just a few days it will be a year since the passing of Gerald R. Ford. The publisher of his memoirs says one of the most affable men he's ever met confided in him about the field of presidential candidates and about what he knew about the Kennedy assassination.
Mr. Ford had very strong opinions about the current presidential election, according to Tim Miller, publisher of Mr. Ford's memoirs.
As for the Kennedy assassination, it's the conspiracy theory that just won't die. And the assassination of 40 years ago is about to grab headlines again as the anniversary of Gerald Ford's death approaches. Miller is ready to disclose that the late president told him that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone.
Ford served on the Warren Commission which concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman who killed JFK. In his final book released after his death, A Presidential Legacy and The Warren Commission, Ford comments for the last time on the JFK assassination.
Flat Signed Press publisher Tim Miller says he and Ford had heated exchanges over what should be included in the book. Miller says Ford was unwilling to disclose everything in the book.
"I believe Ford and others knew more about the JFK assassination," says Miller. "He confirms the role of the CIA in hiding and destroying information regarding the assassination."
Miller says Ford conceded that Oswald did not act alone.
In what will surely reignite the conspiracy debate, Miller is ready and willing to disclose what Ford told him in private about the Kennedy assassination and what else the late president told him in the months before he died.
The first anniversary of Ford's death falls Christmas week.
