Boston, Mass. / Lois L. Lindauer Searches (LLLS), one of America’s fastest growing nonprofit executive search firms, has been retained by the internationally renowned Clark Art Institute to fill the museum’s Director of Communications position.
Located in the Massachusetts Berkshires, the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute maintains an impressive collection of European and American painting, sculpture, works on paper, and decorative art from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century. In conjunction with the Clark, Williams College - one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges – offers an MA in art history.
LLLS will conduct a nationwide search to fill the Director of Communications position at the Clark. The successful candidate will possess a strong track record in staff management, publications oversight, and media relations, and experience working at a top tier museum.
Lois L. Lindauer, Founder and CEO of LLLS, says the Clark assignment is reflective of the firm’s burgeoning arts and culture practice group and its growing expertise in marketing and communications searches. She says, “Over the years, LLLS has filled key development positions at numerous performing and visual arts institutions, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Clark Art Institute, Worcester Art Museum, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Historic New England, Currier Museum of Art, and Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project. At present, we are working on two arts-related searches, the one for the Clark and the Director of Development position for the world-renowned Aspen Music Festival.”
She continues, “At the same time, we are delighted to see how our expertise in marketing and communications is being increasingly recognized. While our reputation for securing hard-to-find fundraisers has fueled much of our growth, we also possess a solid track record in identifying and placing strong nonprofit marketing and communications leaders.”
Established in 1997, Lois L.
