Autistic 7 Year Old Singing Sensation to Perform at Highly Acclaimed Kidfetti 2009

Gina Marie Incandela will be a featured performer at a one of a kind, kid-centric music and fun fest called Kidfetti 2009 on March 7. The event will take place in Ocala and this year boasts music headliners like American Idol Jordin Sparks, Nat & Alex Wolff of the Naked Brothers Band and Radio Disney Star Bre Morgan.
According to the Kidfetti website (www.kidfetti.com), the 2008 edition saw more than 10,000 children and families attend the festivities, which is all part of a large, outdoor music and cultural festival focusing on the importance of protecting and nurturing the mental and physical wellness of children.
Gina’s story offers inspiration to other families facing the challenges of autism. She was diagnosed at two years old and didn't talk until well after three, but she discovered her talent through music therapy as she was fighting autism at the UCP of Central Florida School for Children with Special Needs.
Since then, she has performed the national anthem at major professional sporting events like the US Open in New York and MLB, NHL games. She’ll soon sing the Star Spangled Banner on opening day of spring training for the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays. Plus, Gina Incandela recently released a new single called “I Dare to Dream.”
Kidfetti 2009 will bring together parents and children laughing together as they interact in workshops focusing on art, music, health, and literacy while fostering better communication skills. All of these sessions focus on fun with the goal of bringing children and their parents, grandparents or caregivers closer together.
