Tampa, Fla. / As the housing market continues to slide amid a global recession, All State Homes has created a ‘mother-in-law’ suite designed for aging parents or for children moving back home because of the recession, the company announced today.
As grown children start taking care of their aging parents, many are looking for affordable housing instead of assisted living facilities which can often be cost prohibitive, All State Homes says. That’s why the company has created the “Unity Home,” a 597 square foot detached residence complete with all appliances and a 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty.
“The Unity Home truly offers a cost-effective solution for adult children wanting to keep their aging parents close but also maintain their privacy,” says Ivy Norwood, sales and marketing executive for All State Homes. “With this setup, the whole family can be within steps of each other.”
The homes are also perfect for adult children moving back home because of the recession, says Norwood.
The new concrete block “Unity Home” is constructed on an existing lot near a main residence for less than $70,000. If necessary, the Unity Home can be tailored to accommodate ADA regulations.
“We feel great about being able to help bring families together and meet the challenges of this economy all at the same time,” says Norwood.
In addition to the nearly 600 square feet of living space, the homes have a large front porch where families can gather and talk.
All State Homes is currently offering a free site evaluation to determine if someone’s current property meets the zoning and building requirements for the addition. Plus, anyone with a building site ready to go and is interested in building the Unity Home receives a free $10 gas card just for making an appointment with All State Homes and mentioning how they heard about the new project.
