(PRNewsChannel) / New Hartford, N.Y. / It’s time to fight back. A new Web site created by two professional martial artists who respectively double as a high school teacher and a retired superintendent of schools, now includes self defense videos for teenagers and potential victims of rape that can be downloaded for easy training.
“The goal is to promote personal safety on a daily basis,” says Eric Stalloch, co-founder ofwww.securelivingonline.com. “People are concerned about their security but they think you need a lot of training to fight back. You don’t. These videos provide easy-to-learn moves that can get you out of a serious situation.”
Recent studies show there is an increase in robberies and other crimes during tough economic times. Women can be a primary target but these self defense videos will teach women’s self defense which can be used for rape prevention and could stop a physical assault from ever happening by teaching simple self defense techniques.
Stalloch, along with martial arts grandmaster Clifford Crandall, created the website after realizing just how many kids were getting bullied at school but couldn’t fight back. Stalloch says martial arts don’t have to be violent to be effective.
“Our videos show some common occurrences that teenagers or women might face. Then, show a solution. Different than taking swimming or dancing lessons, these self defense videos will prepare you for some of life’s most difficult situations,” says Stalloch.
Recently, the world witnessed a horrific beating of a 16-year-old girl in Lakeland, Fla. as a group of girls and two boys attacked Victoria Lindsay and recorded it all on video to put on the Internet. This is the exact situation the founders of Secure Living Online had in mind when they created downloadable self defense videos. It’s time to fight back.
The Secure Living Online Web site (http://www.securelivingonline.com) is updated each month and offers a system like Apple’s iTunes where visitors can search for and find downloadable self defense videos on-demand. The videos sell for $1.99 each and come with immediate access on your computer.
All of the videos are shot in a martial arts studio with multiple camera angles, cutaways and professional lighting. Each video runs roughly three minutes and gives people an opportunity to practice the moves so they can train on their own.
About Secure Living Online: The home of downloadable self defense videos was created by two professional martial artists who have also worked in the New York school system. Martial arts grandmaster Clifford Crandall, who is also the founder of the American Martial Arts Institute in New Hartford, N.Y., helped create the concept of learning how to defend yourself online. His longtime student and co-creator, Eric Stalloch, is a high school teacher who is dedicated to helping people learn how to fight back against crime with a new and innovative approach to self-defense.
