Featuring over nine years of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in head and neck surgery, disorders of the ear including chronic infection and hearing loss, and disorders of the salivary glands, thyroid glands, parathyroid glands and sinuses.
Dr. Gallegos’ career in medicine began in 2009, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque. After medical school, he completed his Otolaryngology residency training with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Dr. Gallegos has also completed special training in sialendoscopy to address issues such as stones and troublesome dry mouth. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Gallegos is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. In addition to his clinic work, he shares his wealth of experience and knowledge as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He is committed to keeping current with the new developments, guidelines, and procedures in his field. Dr. Gallegos is passionate about helping others, and in his free time he enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and traveling.
