Heather Joy Austin is an established Registered Nurse who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within Markham-Stouffville Hospital in Ontario, Canada. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in acute care, cardiology, and hand hygiene.
Heather’s career in nursing began in 1997, when she graduated with her Nursing Diploma from Seneca College in Toronto. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses and is committed to keeping current with the new nursing developments, guidelines, and procedures.
Heather is a distinguished member of the MS Society Of Canada and the College of Nurses of Ontario. She is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. Moreover, Heather enjoys precepting student nurses and helping to guide them, and she attributes her success to her desire to help people and ability to communicate with fellow nurses and doctors. In her free time she enjoys crafting, as well as spending time with her two sons, extended family, and her dog.
