Candida A. Caldas is an established Registered Nurse who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing, New York. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in critical care and emergency nursing.
Candida’s career in nursing began in 1972 in Portugal, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. After moving to the United States, she learned English and graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2009 from Long Island University. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses and is also a certified medical surgical registered nurse.
An inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Phi Beta Kappa, Candida is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. She remains a distinguished member of the New York State Nurses Association. In her free time, Candida enjoys spending time with her family and interior decorating.
