Distinguished Nurse, Carmi A. Fazio, RN, MSN, ONA will be Noted in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Carmi A. Fazio, RN, MSN, ONA to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Carmi A. Fazio is an established Nurse and Cancer Care Specialist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients with UnitedHealthcare from Illinois. She was also affiliated with Lake Forest Hospital, Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care, Cancer Treatment Center of America, and Molina Healthcare. Featuring over a decade of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in Oncology nursing and End of Life care.

Carmi’s career in nursing began in 2005, when she graduated with her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Oakton Community College. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2013 from Kaplan University, followed by her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 2016 from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Carmi is an Oncology Nurse, and is honored to walk alongside her patients in supporting these magnificent warriors as they journey through their disease. In 2016, She received the Extraordinary Healer award from Cure Magazine as one of three finalists and was featured in the 10th Edition of the Extraordinary Healers Coffee Table Book. She was recognized in Fra Noi Magazine for this accomplishment as well.

To stay current in her field, Carmi remains a distinguished member of the Oncology Nursing Society, and she also volunteers her services as a moderator to the members of the “WhatNext” Cancer Support Network. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of compassionate care, and is committed to enhancing her patients’ quality of life. Carmi attributes her success to NP Nicoletta Campagna of Nevada who mentored her in oncology while working together at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois.  She believes in that old African Proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone, but, if you want to go far…go together.” In her free time, Carmi enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, writing, and drawing.
