Albert Steven Matkowsky is an established Drug and Alcohol Counselor who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients with Insight Counseling in New Hampshire. Featuring over three decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in the treatment of substance abuse disorders, as well as HIV risk reduction.
Albert attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with his Bachelor of Social Work Degree in 1974. He then obtained his Master’s Degree in Political Science in 1982 from Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire. An advocate for pursuing further education, he earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health in 2000 from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.
To stay current in his field, Albert remains a distinguished member of the New Hampshire Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors Association, and serves as President of the Veterans Association. He served in the United States Air Force for nine years as a mental health specialist, and attributes his success to working closely with other people in his field. Albert has dedicated his life to providing high quality and compassionate care, and in his free time he enjoys scuba diving.
