Dr. Omar Turk is an established Neurologist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients within the Neurosleep Center, PLLC in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. Dr. Turk is involved in the Port Huron, Fort Gratiot and surrounding area medical community as he was appointed as the Medical Director of Prime HealthCare Services – Port Huron. Featuring nearly three decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in pain management , anesthesia, and sleep disorders.
Dr. Turk’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1989, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Syria. After medical school, he completed an internship and residency at in Jerusalem, Israel. He then served as a junior resident at Jordan University Hospital in Amman, Jordan, followed by his transitional residency year at Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Turk went on to complete anesthesia residency training at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and then went to University of Alabama in Birmingham attending as resident in the Neurology Program. Pursuing advanced residency training in the field of neurology and sleep that was followed by Neurophysiology fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Turk is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and has dedicated his life to providing high quality care to his patients. To stay current with the latest advances in his field, he remains a distinguished member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the American Academy of Neurology. He is committed to enhancing his patients’ quality of life, and attributes his success to his desire to treat his patients like family. In his free time, Dr. Turk enjoys the advancement of his medical career and spending time with his wife and children.
