Respected Social Worker, Hὓlya Mahitap Sansoy, LMSW will be Noted in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Hὓlya Mahitap Sansoy, LMSW to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Hὓlya Mahitap Sansoy is an established Bilingual Social Worker who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within the DCI Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in nephrology social work. She is bilingual in Spanish. Hὓlya was inspired by her mother, and her core values were shaped by her mother’s acceptance and teaching of all religions, beliefs, and philosophies.

Hὓlya attended Eastern New Mexico University, where she earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. She then graduated with her Master of Social Work Degree from Boston University in 1996. She was employed at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts which is a Harvard Affiliate as a Bilingual Care Coordinator and Spanish Clinic Social Worker.

Hὓlya also was an Albuquerque grass roots participant to divert the substance abuse and detox patients to a community center for medical treatment thus paving the way for access to quality care appropriate to this patient population and allowing to effectively streamline all local emergency room patients. Each and every student that participated in the South Valley Academy Charter High School Robotics Team 1897 in collaboration with Intel engineers and The Society of Mexican-American Engineers and Scientists, Inc. received an honorary recognition from the New Mexico Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron in 2006. Her goal was to pave the way for each and every student entering the university of their choice to pursue their education with this award. It meant the world to her, as she was giving back to society. She also was a Catholic Charities Refugee Case Manager in Albuquerque and collaborated with the FBI on a human trafficking victim in 2009.

She is also published in Case Management Monthly Best Practices and Practical Solutions January 2012 Vol 9, No.1.“Using a social worker’s skills to optimize patient care and management” (p.10) and February 24, 1998.YENI MESAJ Istanbul, Turkey newspaper interview.“Everything for The Sake of Humanity (p.6). She also became the New Mexico Highlands University Advisory Board member as of 08 July 2015. She completed a 2 year research study with UNM Medical Hospital and the PCORI grant as of 2016 called “Shared Decision Making in End of Life Care” to be published soon. Hὓlya is an integral part of the healthcare team at DCI Dialysis, Inc. Her efforts support a mobile outreach Transplant service to rural areas and Native American reservations which are unable to afford means to travel to the Transplant centers. Currently she is working with Congresswoman Michelle Lujan-Grisham to assist all Medicare patients in accessing affordable binders specifically for End Stage Renal Dialysis patients.

Hὓlya attributes her inspiration and success to her Turkish parents. Her father was an Internist specializing in Cardiology and he was her life mentor and coach. He taught her compassion, humility and kindness to all races as well as her real estate and artist mother. Hὓlya enjoys being an agent to a tenor, attending Opera and Chamber Music festivals, creative writing, being with animals, traveling, cooking, hiking and reading.
