Scott is an established Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within the Charter Oak Health Center in Connecticut. Featuring nearly two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedic nursing, and long term care.
Juanita’s career in nursing began in 1999, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from Capital Community College. Pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Hartford, followed by her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at the University of Saint Joseph. Since graduating, Juanita has completed a number of advanced training courses, and also taught at the University of Saint Joseph and Capital Community College.
To stay current with the latest advances in her field, Juanita remains a distinguished member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Society, and the American Nurses Association. She has dedicated her life to providing quality care, and also engages in volunteer work at a homeless shelter and food pantry connected to her church. Juanita attributes her success to her love for people, and in her free time she is an active member of her church, and enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to gospel music.
