Dr. Rashmi Jain is an established Nephrologist currently serving patients within her own private practice in Burlingame, California, and she is also Medical Director of Kidney Services at DaVita & Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. Featuring over 25 years of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in preventing patients from going on dialysis, acute and chronic dialysis, chronic kidney disease education, and the management acute renal failure.
Dr. Jain’s career in medicine began in 1983, when she graduated with her Medical Degree from Aligarh University School of Medicine in India. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her internship at St. Joseph Hospital of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Thereafter, Dr. Jain served her residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Greater Miami in Florida, followed by her fellowship at Rutgers University School of Medicine in New Jersey.
Dr. Jain is board certified in Nephrology, and stays current in her field by remaining a distinguished member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Medical Association, the Renal Physicians Association, and the National Kidney Foundation. She has served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Illinois for 2 years, and has appeared on ESRD Network on a TV Talk Show. Dr. Jain has dedicated her life to providing quality and compassionate care to her patients, and attributes her success to her love, devotion, and passion for nephrology. In her free time, Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with her family, socializing, music, and cooking.
