Dr. Victoria Payne is an established Psychiatrist currently serving patients within the North Carolina Central Prison in Raleigh, and Central Community Services in Oxford, North Carolina. Featuring nearly two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in the treatment of depression and post traumatic stress disorder.
In 1986, Dr. Payne earned her Master of Science Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her acclaimed career in medicine began in 1999, when she graduated with her Medical Degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Thereafter, she completed her Psychiatry residency with Duke University School of Medicine, followed by her Duke/GlaxoSmithKline Clinical Psychopharmacology Research fellowship. Pursuing further training, Dr. Payne completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Psychiatry as Durham VA Medical Center.
Dr. Payne is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and remains a distinguished member of the American Psychiatric Association. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of psychiatric care to her patients, and is committed to enhancing their quality of life. Dr. Payne attributes her success to her ability to care for her patients, and when she is not assisting patients, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, art, and spending time with her family and friends.
