The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Tarnisha Fitzgerald, MSN, CRNP, FNP-BC to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Tarnisha Fitzgerald is an established Nurse Practitioner currently serving as Director of Nursing within FutureCare at Good Samaritan in Baltimore, Maryland, and she is also affiliated with MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in long term care, medical/surgical nursing, and hospice care.
Tarnisha’s career in nursing began in 1996, when she graduated with her Licensed Practical Nurse Certification from Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School. Pursuing further education, she earned her Nursing Degree in 2009 from the Global Health Nurse Training Services, followed by her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2013 from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Thereafter, Tarnisha attended Simmons College, graduating with her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration in 2017.
Tarnisha is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, and remains a distinguished member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination. She attributes her success to her time enlisted in the US Army Reserves, in which she she learned a great deal of leadership skills and people skills, caring and working for people of different cultures and different problems that they face. Being a nurse has been very fulfilling for Tarnisha and she feels that she has made a difference.
