Dr. Sastry then served her residency training at Loyola University, Grant Hospital, and the University of Health Sciences – Chicago Medical School, before undertaking her fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Sastry is committed to changing her patients’ lives for the better and enhancing their quality of life. She provides expert diagnosis and treatment for osteomyelitis, herpes zoster and herpes simplex, candidiasis, infectious mononucleosis, viral meningitis, chickenpox, and a range of sexually transmitted infections, and is noted for her expertise in lyme disease. Dr. Sastry remains a distinguished member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Asian Physicians from South Asia, the American Association of Physicians from India, and the Hernando Medical Society, as well as a lifetime member of Strathmore’s Who’s Who.
