Dr. Mitchell’s acclaimed career in medicine began after graduating with his Medical Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Thereafter, he completed his General Surgery internship at Tulane-affiliated hospitals, before undertaking his residency training in Neurosurgery at St. Louis University Health Sciences Center. While at St. Louis University, Dr. Mitchell served as both an instructor and clinical professor in neurosurgery.
Dr. Mitchell is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and has earned the coveted titles of Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgery and the North American Spine Society. He remains a distinguished member of several professional organizations, and is currently serving as the Department Chief for The NeuroMedical Center Clinic Neurosurgery Department. Dr. Mitchell attributes his success to his hard work, as well as his willingness to listen and learn.
