Sheskier has been in practice for more than three decades and is currently serving patients within the University Place Orthopedics in New York City. Dr. Sheskier graduated with his Medical Degree in 1982 from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Following the completion of medical school, he completed an internship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, followed by his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Thereafter, Dr Sheskier undertook his Foot and Ankle Surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Sheskier is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a distinguished member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Sheskier has participated in numerous medical missions in locations such as Vietnam, Cuba, and Haiti, and has been active in the medical training of hundreds of orthopedic surgeons over the years. He has dedicated his life to delivering the highest standard of quality care to his patients, and is particularly renowned for his expertise in lower extremity surgery and the treatment of sports injuries. Dr. Sheskier attributes his success to his passion for orthopedics, as well as his commitment to continual education. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Sheskier enjoys reading and traveling, and he also serves as team doctor for the New York Riveter’s ice hockey team.
