The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome, L. Glen “Booney” Whitteaker Jr., RN to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. L. Glen “Booney” Whitteaker Jr. is an established Registered Nurse currently serving patients as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN and Travel Nurse with MedSource Travelers. He has 15 years of experience in the emergency room as both a paramedic and RN, and 9 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 1 year of House Supervisor and ICU experience. Booney has a special expertise in emergency room and heart cath lab nursing.
Booney graduated with his Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in 2006 from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. Since graduating, he has completed a number of advanced training courses, and holds additional certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Booney is a Tennessee Licensed Paramedic, and holds an RN License for The State of Alaska. Booney also served for 5 years in the US Army. Furthermore, he filled the role as Shift Captain for 10 years with the local EMS service with multiple areas of training in Incident Command System, Confined Space Rescue, Search and Rescue, Cave Rescue, Industrial Fire Training, High Angle Rescue, and 1 year as a Night Shift House Supervisor.
Booney has dedicated his life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to his patients. He has always been a helper to those around him, and is passionate about putting his patients’ concerns to ease. He wants them to trust and feel that they are his priority, and attributes his success in his work to the support and inspiration of his grandmother and mother. When he is not assisting patients, Booney enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to different states and meeting new people, bowling, fishing, and hunting.
